Connect to Tech – Digital Support
Want to feel more comfortable with technology?
RAID is a lead partner on Connect to Tech with Ruils and Mencap as part or our partnership. We also work closely on Connect to Tech with Age UK Richmond and Richmond Mind.
Connect to Tech provides support to people over the age of 18 living in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames across all impairment groups and also those with long term health conditions including physical and sensory disabilities, learning difficulties, mental health conditions, and unpaid carers.

Connect to Tech at RAID
Get hands-on with technology, try example devices and enjoy free Wi-Fi at every session!
Tech Sessions Available:
- WHEN: Every Thursday at 12:30pm
- WHERE: Parkshot Medical, Richmond, TW9 2RG
Join a 2-hour training workshop covering areas such as email, WhatsApp, WIFI and AI. Get help with things like internet shopping, using apps, online safety and accessibility features.
- WHEN: Every Friday at 11am
- WHERE: RAID, DAAC Building, 4 Waldegrave Road, Teddington, TW11 8HT
Join us for 2 hours of peer support in a relaxed atmosphere covering different topics of the client’s choosing.
- One-to-one appointments of dedicated support. Particularly helpful for individuals with anxiety around learning in a group setting.
Tech Services Available:
Access to free SIM cards for those suffering from data poverty. We offer cards from the National Databank (O2, Three & Vodafone) and direct from Vodafone. Get a new number or keep your own.
We support the local adult social care teams with finding the right digital help for residents and when a piece of assistive technology they’ve issued needs to be handed back, we are one of several drop-off points.
Millions of old devices are stuck in drawers when they could be reused or recycled. We partner with local firm, Genuine Solutions, to provide a safe, secure and easy way to dispose of your old devices.
