Richmond Hearing Voices – Peer Support Group
Do you hear voices, see visions or have other experiences that other people don’t?
Does everyone who hears voices get a diagnosis of schizophrenia or psychosis? Research suggests that the majority of people who hear voices have no mental health issue at all.
The Hearing Voices Group is a peer support group who listen, discuss experiences and coping strategies in a supportive space, sharing with others who have similar experiences in their lives.

Why attend?
As people’s experiences are very diverse, it’s likely there are a number of different reasons why people hear voices or see visions. The group offers an opportunity to openly discuss a range of different ways of coping, with what can be distressing experiences, and sharing ideas with other people who have similar experiences can be very powerful.
The group embraces the aims of the Hearing Voices Network and their ethos of challenging discrimination and stigma towards people who experience visions, voices, and other ‘unusual’ experiences.
When does the group take place?
Held the 2nd Thursday of every month:
- Time: 5.30 – 7pm
- Location: RAID, Disability Action and Advice Centre, 4 Waldegrave Road, Teddington, TW11 8HT
