Road to Recovery – Drug and Alcohol Use

Road to Recovery is a welcoming and informal space hosted as part of RAID’s Coffee Afternoons in collaboration with CDARS. These sessions offer an opportunity to talk openly about alcohol and drug use, reduce stigma, and explore the support available within the community.

The group explores different ways of support and well-being, understanding different stages of change, including safer use, harm reduction, and cutting down as a positive step towards recovery. Attendees can access information, guidance and peer support in a relaxed and non-judgemental environment.

Whether you would like more information, are supporting someone else, or simply want to learn more about available services, you are welcome to join us.

Upcoming Coffee Afternoon dates:

  • 1 June, 2-4pm: CDARS will focus on lived experience and what they offer as a service. Talk from Alcoholics Anonymous: hear from a peer as they share their journey and the support available
  • 24 August: Well-being in the community
  • 7 September: Recovery College
